Ughelli – Sir Eugene Emeka Okonji, former member, Delta State House of Assembly, has eulogised the prowess of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, describing him as a politician who strives to make better any situation he finds himself.

Okonji who spoke in a chat with journalists on the life of the governor who clocks 57 years today said that as the Number One citizen of the state his administrative style had been wonderful.

He explained, “Governance we know is not a masquerade; people are now beginning to feel the meaning of good governance. A lot has taken place positively for the benefits of Deltans.

“The people have seen a lot of improvement in terms of roads, health care, education and a lot of other development projects. I really appreciate his good work”.

Okonji noted, “At 57, Okowa has held several positions at the local, state and federal levels. Despite the fact that there is hardship in the country, the governor is still trying his best with the little resources available to build good roads and other developmental projects in the state”.
