Lagos – The quarter-final matches of this year’s Federation Cup will hold today across the country with Enyimba’s tie against Rivers United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan headlining the quarterfinal matches.

The other clubs include Akwa United of Uyo and Warri Wolves FC, Nasarawa United of Lafia, FC IfeaanyiUba of Nnewi, Wikki Tourists of Bauch and Crown FC of Oshogbo.
Ahead of the quarter finals, Rivers defeated Shooting Stars of Ibadan 3-2 via penalties shootout at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna after a goalless draw.
Also  Enyimba survived Julius Atete FC scare at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja winning 1-0.
While Enyimba will be banking on the resilience of Bassey Ezekiel and Mfon Uoh for victory, the strength of Rivers lie more on reflexes of shot stopper, Sunday Rotimi, who saved them against Shooting.
Another interesting tie is between Akwa United and Nasarawa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Interestingly, both sides met in the semi finals of the 2015 edition with the Uyo side winning 1-0.
There is no doubt that the Lafia will be poised for vengance over the Uyo side to avoid double defeat in the same competition.
Other fixtures are NPFL leaders; Wikki Tourists of Bauchi tie against Crown of Oshogbo in Lokoja.
In Abeokuta, Wolves will play IfeanyiUbah; it is a game book makers have also said would also attract attention from football followers if their pedigree at the top flight is anything to go by.
