Enyimba International of Aba bounced back to reckoning at Week 18 with a 3-1 hammering of league leaders Sunshine Stars of Akure in a game played at the Aba Township Stadium.

The Aba Elephants is now second on the Glo Premier League table with 33 points, just as Sunshine still maintains the first position with 33 points but on superior goals difference to Enyimba.

However, league defending champions, Kano Pillars is still to find its rhythm as its game ended 1-1 with visiting Wikki Tourists of Bauchi at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

Prior to the match, Wikki coach, Abdu Maikabi, had promised to end Pillars home invincibility, but was only able to get a draw.

In the same vein, Sharks of Port Harcourt consolidated on its Week 17 away victory over Kwara United to thrash Abia Warriors 2-0 in Port Harcourt, while Giwa FC was 2-1 better than Nasarawa United in Jos.

At the Liberation Stadium Port Harcourt, Gbenga Ogunbote, failed to replicate his magic wand for Shooting Stars of Ibadan losing 0-1 to Dolphins, just as Lobi improved its status on the league table with a 1-0 effort over Akwa United of Uyo in Makurdi.

Newly appointed Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amapakabor, justified  his promotion guiding Rangers to a goalless draw against Bayelsa United of Yenagoa at Oghara Township Stadium, Delta State.

However, the upset of the Week 18 was Kwara United defeat of FC Ifeanyiuba of Nnewi at the Rojenny, Oba, Anambra State.

It was a defeat least expected after the Nnewi side coached by John Obuh had picked a point on the road at Week 17.

The question now is will the club proprietor and oil magnate, Dr, Patrick Ifeanyi Uba, sack Obuh who succeeded sacked Mitko Dobrev because the club lost at home to Wikki Tourists under his guide.
