By Emmanuel Nzomiwu,

Enugu State Government has commenced plans towards initiating legal action against the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Federal Government over former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani’s property forfeited to the Federal Government by a recent order of the Federal High Court.

The Court had on July 8, 2015 ordered Nnamani to forfeit Renaissance University Teaching Hospital, Ceuna Communications (Cosmo FM), Capital City Automobiles Nigeria Limited, Rainbow-net Limited to the Federal Government.

Sequel to the judgment, the Enugu State Executive Council has approved the appointment of a reputable law firm to engage EFCC and the Federal Government with a view to ensuring that Nnamani’s property ceded to Federal Government by the Court was returned to Enugu State.

The state Commissioner for Information, Dr. Godwin Udeuhele, gave the hint in a press briefing after the council’s meeting, presided

over by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at Government House, Enugu.
