With less than three games left to wrap up the first stanza of the Glo Premier League Enyimba International of Aba will this weekend clash with Warri Wolves at the Warri Township Stadium in Delta State.

The Week 17 encounter no doubt will be a titanic battle if the pedigree of both sides is anything to go by in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) even as both sides lost their midweek games at the Federations Cup and the Glo League.

Enyimba lost the Federation Cup clash against Remo Stars of Shagamu 1-3 via penalties, while Wolves lost 1-2 to Shooting Stars in of the rescheduled NPFL matches.

However, visiting Enyimba has been riding high in the on-going season with 30 points from 16 games to place second, Wolves though a strong side, has been struggling recently even as it lost Week 17 at Bayelsa United.

According to Enyimba head coach, Kadiri Ikhana, “One thing is clear with Enyimba this season and that is a continental ticket. We are not desperate for the league title. Hence against Wolves this weekend we will play our game and get a good result.

“In every game we prepare our mind for the best. Yes, Wolves is a good side, but fans will surely get the worth of their gate fee in this game.”

The Aba Elephants has played nine matches unbeaten so far and the question in the lips of football followers now is if Wolves will be the first to end the unbeaten run.
