The O’jez Sallah Nite on Wednesday, September 23 will feature the Evergreen Band with Elder O, MC Phrymzo and dance group Scata & Sons with resident Disc Jockey, DJ Multi on the wheels of steel. The Evergreen Band is known for its versatility in dishing out evergreen highlife songs with a full band compliment.

“We celebrate with our Muslim customers when they are celebrating, that is why every year; we always hold the O’jez Sallah Nite. Don’t forget also that there is the O’jez Xmas Blast. This edition of the O’jez Sallah Nite will be as unique as last year’s and even more,” Chief Joseph Odobeatu, Chief Executive Officer, O’jez Group said in a statement on Monday.

On the oncoming O’jez Independence Groove, Odobeatu, popularly called ‘O’jez’ said it would be a night to remember as “we will make Nigeria’s 55th Independence anniversary a memorable one for our customers. Our clientele are very important to us as a chain of celebrity restaurant, so we always strive to add more value to the exquisite African, Continental and Chinese cuisine we serve them by complimenting it with top notch comedy, dance and music every Friday and Sunday and every national or religious day in our calendar.

Elder O and MC Prymzo would be on call on October 1 but this time, the O’jez Band led by Vitus will feature Tony Okri (music veteran Mike Okri’s younger brother), the only female singer of the band, Colours and Pastor who specializes in a medley of highlife and upbeat gyration songs for all occasions.

Scata & Sons will lead the pack of dance groups such as D4G, The Razors and Diamond Boys among other upcoming singers. “These two shows are very dear to me,” Elder O said in a separate statement issued by his Media Company, adding, “O’jez is where we do our thing every weekend and people come from as far as Lekki, Ikorodu, Igando and Okokomaiko just to be with us every Friday and Sunday that is why the slogan has always been, “If you are not at O’jez every Friday and Sunday, you are not in Lagos”. But this Sallah and Independence shows are a different kettle of fish entirely and I am promising my fans that all what they will listen and laugh at the two shows are fresh jokes never heard before anywhere and they will be coming from me and MC Prymzo. So I will say, “If you are not at O’jez on Sallah and Independence days, you are not in Lagos”, the comedian submitted.
