Reacting to the electoral victory of the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Victor Eboigbe, a Benin based businessman and chieftains of APC in Edo has this to say”  “I congratulate the president elect for his victory. This is a victory for democracy and a big victory for Nigeria.

“It shows that democracy has finally taken root. I also wish to congratulate the  President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding and congratulating Gen Buhari. By conceding, he has saved the country from being plunged into unnecessary political crises.

Also reacting, the executive Secretary, Institute For Benin studies  Aiko Obobaifo declared, “It is victory for Nigerians and Nigeria. The full potentials of this country shall begin to be realised from May 29, 2015 when damage repairs would begin in earnest.

“Those that have held Nigeria hostage these past sixteen years have no option now than to remain law abiding citizens and renounce corruption including miscreant behaviour as displayed by Godsday Orubebe during the collation of final election results.

“The President elect should not dissipate energy on vindictiveness but should shame his acerbic detractors with a functional government of inclusiveness. There is hope for an all round  positive change”.

In his reaction also, Edo state Publicity Secretary of APC Comrade Godwin Erhahon said “We thank Nigerians for their understanding and support.  Politicians should learn from the fall of Jonathan that elections  are not won by smear campaign.

“While APC assures Nigerians that it shall fulfil its campaign promises. We however commend President Goodluck Jonathan for promptly accepting defeat”.
