The Edo State Civil Society last weekend tendered an apology to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Edo State Chapter over allegations of fraudulent activities ranging from illegal taxation, embezzlement, conspiracy and corrupt practices leveled the Corps.

The leader of Edo State Civil Society, Comrade Kaduna Eboigbodin told newsmen at the end of a meeting held to mend fences, that whatever differences that the NYSC and C.S.O had has been quashed and should be forgotten.

Comrade Kaduna Eboigbodin said:’’ I am very excited that we have reached a very sustainable understanding of peace and friendship with the coordinator of NYSC Edo State’’.

Clearing the air on the feud, Eboigbodin said “We had some serious frank talk before now about certain facts that were unraveled to us which before now, we were unable to get in terms of what led to this little misunderstanding. And some of the supposed facts that we had earlier put across, we discovered that they were not quite accurate and it is very regrettable.

We have assured them that we never meant any harm being it personal or organisational. And we promise to henceforth conduct our investigations seriously and thoroughly before going public’’ Eboigbodin said.

The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Edo State, Mrs. Altine Japheth Akpam who also spoke to newsmen said that the Civil Society organization sent letters across the state and to the director of the state security.

“I do not have any problem with them. I don’t know how they got the fictitious write ups they had and I felt like they were out to tarnish the image of the scheme because all they wrote was baseless. However, we have settled the issue amicably based on their since they have apologized” she said.
