Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, is optimistic the team will win the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Nigeria is the defending champion, having won the last edition that held in UAE.

The team will begin its campaign against the United States of America on October 17th before facing hosts Chile and Croatia respectively in group A.

“I strongly believe we will be in contention to win it again this time,” said Amuneke.

“We have been working and preparing hard and I believe we will be ready at the end of the day,” he said confidently.

He, however, admitted that it won’t be an easy task.

“That being said we do not envisage it will be anyway easy because the other teams have also got to be thinking of winning (the World Cup).

“We don’t want to get too confident and get carried away because we are yet to get to our destination and the road to success is always looking under construction, like I always say,” he said.
