Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Joe Erico, has charged the team goalkeepers to create a niche for themselves if they were to replace the team’s number 1 goalie Vincent Enyeama.

Despite Carl Ikeme’s heroic performance in his debut game against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Dar es Salaam, Erico advised the technical crew to discover more goalkeepers capable of replacing Enyeama before his retiring from the team.
“I have always said we have a million and one goal keepers and any Coach can simply pick but importantly give them the exposure.  At the end it’s a stage, Enyeama has danced, he has shown us he’s capable especially now that his time with the team is winding up.
”The new goal keeper will have to create his own and not live in Enyeama’s shoes.

But above all every goal keeper needs the exposure,” Erico said during a radio programme.
