Timely Warning

The recent fuel scarcity experienced by Nigerians affected so many businesses including mine. I lost about N200,000 in that season. I was seriously struggling with worry at that time. I was constantly crying to God to help me.

I have realized that the best way to overcome worry is to pray to God and believe that it is only a temporary circumstance that will work out for good. I keep telling myself that it will get better and God will pull me out of it. I also told myself that fuel scarcity is a temporary situation that will change like the cloud of life. This was the confession that helped me to cope better during that season of hardship. To be a Born Again Christian is not by word of mouth; it is by the demonstration of what you believe in.

If you allow worry to constantly overcome you, you are already defeated by the devil. I must confess that I was already lost to worrying about my situation; but when I discovered that it was building a castle in my heart, I had to fight it out with prayer. Prayer gave me great encouragement and enabled me to move on. The spirit of worry came back again as the fuel situation worsened,; but I prayed again and again and overcame it.

The devil never gives up on any child of God. The devil tempted Jesus Christ to till the last moment of his life. Don’t think it’s easy to serve God. You must wake-up and fight for your salvation.

Good things don’t come to those who easily give up; great achievers are those that have mastered the act of a good fight of Faith. God will not come down and fight worry for you, you have to go down on your knees and pray yourself out of worry. You must constantly fight worry with the word of God. Any time worry comes, use the word of God to defeat it.

Tell the devil your God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ said, you can’t add a day to your life by constant worry and fear. Too much concentration on your problem may weigh you down and push you to do things you never imagined you could do. The state of Depression, which is a more complex state, is the father of worry. If you don’t fight your worries, it might lead to depression of your heart.

The good news is Jesus Christ can carry your entire burden now. No matter how worried or depressed you are, just call upon Jesus to lift you up. Confess your sins to him and accept as your lord and saviour and he will take your worries away and give you a new heart of joy and peace. Shalom.
