The Management of Dolphins FC on Wednesday queried its top striker, Emeka Atuloma, for speaking in a case before an arbitration committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Atuloma told one of the national sports newspapers how players could no longer stand the hardship they were subjected to at the club because of unpaid salaries.

The Secretary of the club, Ahmed Abdulrahman, who signed the query, said the management was embarrassed by the comments credited to the player in the interview.

“This matter is still before the arbitration committee of Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). Your action is subjudice as the panel has yet to conclude on the matter,” Abdulrahman said.

Dolphins’ management also said Atuloma had since then failed to attendtraining sessions as well as participate in matches, without any permission from the management.

He was asked to respond to the query in writing within 48 hours, “why disciplinary action would not be taken against him.”

Meanwhile, China Acheru, Media Officer of Dolphins, said the all outstanding eight months salary arrears owed the players had been fully settled by the Government.
