LAGOS – Daboere Dokubo caretaker coach of Akwa United has said that there was no reason to worry over the three-match ultimatum handed the technical crew to perform under his charge.

In a post match chat after Akwa defeat at MFM, the coach affirmed, “Yes, I was given three-match ultimatum to perform or be fired I do not think there is any cause for alarm, the coach said.

The three-match ultimatum started with Week 14 0-3 loss to MFM FC in Lagos over the weekend, Week 15 home clash against FC IfeanyiUbah and Week 16 away clash at Giwa FC.

But Dokubo is confident of meeting the ultimatum as he said he was certain to claim at least four points in the next two matches against FC IfeanyiUbah and Giwa FC.

“However, I strongly believe in the next two matches I’ll pick a minimum of four points from possible six.

“I believe loss of concentration caused us the match against MFM, but I hope to make amend in the next matches,” Dokubo said.

Dokubo took charge after head coach, Maurice Cooreman, was suspended and the loss at MFM FC leaves the Promise Keepers’ points haul at 18 from possible 42 in the 14-week old top flight.
