Dodan Warriors basketball club is hoping to return to winning ways when it plays Customs in a DSTV Basketball League game on Friday.

Shooting guard, Umar Garba, said his side has been doing really well so far in the league, and hopes to bounce back after losing to Kwara Falcons in their last game.

“We’ve been doing great so far, picking up wins that really matters for us. We’re already in the playoff now so I think so far this season, we have really improved from last season, and we hope to return to winning ways on Friday,” he said.

“Our toughest game so far was against Lagos Islanders; it was tense, close and very tough, we lost the game in the end.”

Garba, however, called on organisers and sponsors to improve the game in the country.

“The organisation has been fair but can be way better; so we’re hoping it will get better from next season.”

Dodan Warriors is placed second on the Atlantic Conference table after playing 11 games, won eight and lost three, with three games to go.

It plays Customs at 4pm on Friday at the Indoor Sports hall of the National Stadium in Lagos.
