Lagos – The once purely residential area of Banana Island is now opening its arms to office commercial real estate development structures with Desidarata as one of the new edifices.

Located on Plot 5A Abuja Street, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Desiderata is a small commercial office development on Abuja Street in Banana Island which will offer ±4,700sqm of prime office space.

The nine storey building has office space available on seven floors above a reception area and floors of car parking. It is being developed by Funtierra Limited.

Monterosa Construction, the contractors for Lakepoint Towers, are also the main contractor for this project. Other members of the project team include Lambert, MOA Partnership, Hydrock and Sea Surveyors among others.

The architectural designer for this newly renovated edifice is Idlewoods. It was designed to be completed by June 2016 and presently open to customer.

According to the AWW, the London based architect who designed it in collaboration with Delano Architects, the building services strategy was informed by a comprehensive thermal modeling exercise, which concluded that a VRF (variable refrigerant flow) system would most efficiently respond to the challenging climate.
