Democracy Remains Best Option For Nigeria – Orji

Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Orji, representing Abia Central Senatorial District, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the federal government because democracy remains the best form of government any country can wish for.

Speaking on the Democracy Day celebration, Senator Orji said he was confident that things will soon begin to work out for the nation, stressing that Nigeria can never be compared to any other nation in the world.

According to him, “What we have in Nigeria is far better than what many countries are enjoying. Since 1999 the volume of democracy dividends that have come the way of Nigerians in huge and an indication that things will be better. Democracy remains the best bet for Nigeria.”

Continuing, the former governor said “We have beaten all the permutations that Nigeria will cease to exist, we have remained an indivisible entity and this is why I am confident that Nigeria will make it.”

Sen. Orji soon Nigeria will become one of the most desirable nations in the world, adding that the indications portends a greater possibility and that Nigeria must seize the opportunities of the potentials to make the nation great.

“I want to Nigerians to remain prayer for the country and the leadership. We are marching forward inspite of the odds against us. We must remain resolute in our belief that through democracy, we can change whatever we desire to change.

“What we are passing through is out test for greatest. We have come a long way through thick and thin and we are almost reaching the promised land. Let us not lose faith now that we are almost there.”
