Delta Police Arrest Killer Of Motorcycle Rider

Asaba – Delta State Police Command has arrested a woman, Beatrice Idoro, suspected to have murdered a motorcycle rider and hid the corpse in her bedroom.

The deceased, whose name was given simply as  Oghenerho,  was alleged to have been killed by Idoro since January this year.

Trouble started when a group of vigilante men led by one Udoro Odiri of No. 231 Eku Sapele Road, Eku reported at the station that the group received information that a corpse was in Idoro’s apartment at No. 8 Irifere Eku.

Based on the information, the scene was visited and the information confirmed just as two suspects have been arrested while preliminary investigation in progress.

In a similar development, Onyeolomi Opone, 19 years resident of Ebedei-Obilo, Umutu who was alleged to have hit a cyclist, Onyenwenu Ebuzione, on the head with iron rod recently and made away with the motorcycle have been arrested.

The suspect was arrested in his house at Ebedei-Obilo in Umutu where the motorcycle with registration number DT 8914 was recovered just as the suspect has made confessional statement.

According to DSP Celestina Kalu, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta State Command, the victim has been transferred from General Hospital Obiaruku, to University Teaching Hospital Oghara, for further treatment as investigation is in progress.
