The Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State (CSCEOS) has queried Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, the state governor, over the N6 million federal allocations accruable to the state in February.
Comrade Adeniyi Sulaiman, chairman of the CSCEO, in a statement on Sunday said that it was curious to note that while other states in the country received N1 billion each, Osun got a meager N6 million.
He said the coalition was demanding for public explanations from the Aregbesola-led regime on the position on debt, which the governor is using 99.8 per cent of the monthly allocations to service.
His words: “The Aregbesola’s administration, has incurred huge debt profile and this has made life miserable for the generality of the people, particularly, the workers who were economy determinant factor of the State”.
The group also warned the Federal Government against releasing any kobo to Governor Aregbesola, under the guise of embarking on federal projects, especially roads.

It further added that “releasing fund to the governor for the execution of federal road projects in Osun would go the same way of the over the N52 billion loan obtained on the said roads project by the governor which has not seen the light of day till today”.
