The information technology firm, which the Lagos State procurement office claimed received N78 million for the upgrade of former Governor Babatunde Fashola’s personal website, has denied being paid the amount.
The tech company, Info Access Plus Limited, said its quotation for to the Lagos State government was N12.5 million, and the state eventually paid N10 million for the job.
In contrast to this amount, the budget analytic firm, BudgiT, had reported that the procurement office claimed that N78 million was spent on the website.
According to information technology experts, the website,, created by Info Access for the former governor, was a WordPress website, a free software tool, and an upgrade could not have cost more than N300,000.
