A cleric, Olusola Adewumi, has urged Christians to support the incoming Muhammadu Buhari administration with prayers.

Adewumi, who is of the Christ Apostolic Miracle Church, Ikole, Ekiti, made the call during a monthly prayer session held in Ikole.

He assured Nigerians that the nation would witness positive change during the Buhari administration and called for patience. The cleric said for the promises of God to manifest in the country, Christians would have to assist the incoming President with prayers for divine wisdom and knowledge.

“It is through divine wisdom that the President-elect would choose competent and God-fearing people for his cabinet. “It is through the knowledge from above that the new administration would formulate and implement good policies that would transform all the sectors of the economy.

“Prayer remains the only spiritual weapon that will enhance the needed change Nigerians are clamouring for and all should endevour to call upon God to take control,” he stated.

Adewumi urged religious bodies to organise special prayers periodically for the success of the incoming administration.

He also called on Nigerians to make contributions to the progress of the country instead of waiting for what they would gain from government.
