The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has stated that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to delay the appointment of ministers does not violate any section of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

Delta State Chairman of PRP, Emmanuel Igbini,  said given the current near collapse of the economy of Nigeria due to mismanagement, looting, misappropriation and fiscal rascality, there was every justification for PRP to support Buhari to delay his appointments.

Igbini spoke against the backdrop of concerns raised by Nigerians over the decision of President Buhari to delay appointment of ministers who are to assist him to execute laws and policies of the Federal Government.

He explained that the delay in appointing ministers was to enable a holistic and comprehensive review of the sad past and appointment of only men and women of with records of proven integrity.

Igbini said all  who truly desire positive change in Nigeria and a halt to the old retrogressive ways of governance should support the decision of President Buhari not to be in a hurry to appoint ministers.
