Comrade Godspower Aguh, Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the association of commercial motorcycle operators has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to tell Nigerians why it has been difficult for them to find a lasting solution to the worsening fuel crisis in the country.

Speaking with Independent in Lagos on Thursday, Aguh, whose members operate under the under the auspices of the Okada Riders and Owners Association, lamented that both the government and the party seem to be lacking the strategies to solve the nation’s fuel crisis, stressing that the nation is almost grounded while his members had been operating at a loss due to the current shortage of the product.

Aguh stressed that it is time for President Buhari to appoint someone else as a substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources, who can ensure that fuel is made available to Nigerians, as the present arrangement, whereby he is sharing the position with another has not proved satisfactory.
He reiterated his association’s earlier call on President Buhari to find out from the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, what is really wrong with the oil industry since he has been there over the years.
Aguh maintained that if Kachikwu cannot find solution to this perennial fuel shortage in the country considering his experience in the sector, President Buhari should consider relieving him of his appointment someone who is more capable and efficient.
