Boko Haram insurgents have again struck in Kwajafa town of Borno State, killing at least 30 people.

Kwajafa is in Hawul Local Government Area, south of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the town between 8 – 9 p.m. on Sunday and assembled residents in pretence of wanting to preach to them, only to turn around shooting sporadically at the people.

An eyewitness said the terrorists, numbering over 30, told the gathering that they would continue to attack and kill people before Buhari assumes leadership of the country to commence total war on them.

The source said many of the injured were rushed to the Biu General Hospital for medical attention.

Hospital sources said over 30 people were brought in for treatment after the attack but most of them had been discharged.

The Sunday’s attack was the second by Boko Haram since the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari winner of the presidential election held on March 28.

The sect members had on Saturday killed two people in Kayamla village of Kondoga Local Government Area, also in Borno State.
