Dreaded Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram has  floated a radio FM station , an indication that the war against terror is yet to be over ,according to a report on the Hausa service of the Voice of America broadcast on June 15, 2016.

Although President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Army have said that Boko Haram have been “technically defeated”, the terrorist sect has refused to give up, at least not yet .

Determined to remain relevant and give the authorities a new cause for concern, the sect has reportedly floated a radio FM station.

According to a report monitored yesterday on the Hausa Service of Voice of America, the Boko Haram radio station broadcasts on 96.8 frequency modulation. Reports said the radio station was floated to enable them broadcast their propaganda messages.

Reports says villagers living in the village of Tolkomari in the far north state of Cameroon, said they tuned to the station and heard the propaganda message from Boko Haram , challenging statements from authorities that they are winning the war

The report said the station broadcast mainly propaganda messages to counter media reports of victories by troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic against the insurgents.

The report further said the Cameroonian government is worried by the new development and has commenced investigations towards locating the radio station, which is said to be somewhere on the Nigeria-Cameroun border.

The Federal Government is yet to react to this latest development.
