Bindow Seeks God’s Intervention, As Kumuyi Storms Yola

YOLA – Commercial activities were almost paralysed as Christian communities within and outside Yola, the Adamawa State capital, on Monday welcomed Pastor Williams F. Kumuyi, the founder and General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, at the Yola International Airport.
Governor Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa State and Engineer Martins Babale, his deputy, were among other Christian clerics and faithful who received Pastor Williams Kumuyi on arrival for the one-day prayers and Bible teachings, received on arrival.
During their interactions, Governor Bindow solicited for prayers for the state, saying that the power of prayers had helped his administration to achieve success.
Governor Bindow said the state witnessed greatness when the pastor visited the state in July last year.
He maintained that Adamawa State and the country at large need prayers as a key to success, adding that without prayers nothing could move positively anywhere.   
The state chief executive expressed joy at receiving the pastor, saying people of the state also shared the joy.
He explained, “My administration was anointed by God to take charge of the state hence 90 per cent or even more, is happy over its development strides.”
Governor Bindow solicited for special prayers for himself and his government to sustain the good governance in the state.
Pastor Kumuyi prayed for Gods intervention over the challenges facing the state and the provision of the needs of the people.
He also prayed for good health for the Governor and his team and for God to would bring more peace and development to the state.
Earlier, Pastor Kumuyi expressed his pleasure to be in Adamawa State not long after he was in the state.
He said that reports reaching him indicated that things were going on very well such as development of roads.
“I learnt of the progress going on in the state and this is heartwarming while the care being given to internally displaced persons is praiseworthy.
He again expressed the hope that his coming would bring prosperity to the state.
