As the circle of opposition continues to thicken against the second term ambition of the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake  Dickson, aggrieved chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state have vowed that he will not secure the party’s second term ticket.
They insisted Dickson has shown that he does not have the right dosage of the required temperament to continue as governor for another term.

Some of the angry PDP chieftains who spoke to our correspondent at the weekend on the condition of anonymity “because it is not yet time for the political war”, said Dickson does not deserve a second term in office.

They said well-meaning elders of the PDP were concerned that the party may lose the next governorship election expected in November to opposition parties if Dickson was returned as the party’s flag-bearer.

They listed the ‘sins’ of the governor, saying he had squandered the goodwill of the party and that of the people of the state.

They said Dickson had in the last three years developed the penchant for instigating controversies that had weakened the cohesion that hitherto existed in the party.
