Bauchi Prison Promotes 61 Officers

The Nigeria Prisons in Bauchi State has disclosed that sx officers of the command died in 2015 just as 61 officers have been promoted to various ranks
This was disclosed by the State comptroller? of prison,  Sadi Mohammed while speaking at a send forth of a senior officer, DCP Mohammed Gwani who retired from the service.
According to him,  among the 61 promoted officers,two Deputy Comptroller of Prisons (DCPs) were promoted to the ranks of Comptroller of Prisons (CPs)? while two Superintendent Of Prisons (SOPs) were also promoted to Chief Supritendent of Prisons (CSPs).
Mohammed said that the promotion was a great morale booster to the officers and men of the service?.
He said “On a sad note however, the Command has lost six of its staff who died in active service to their fatherland in 2015. We pray that their gentle souls rest in peace,”he said.
He  said that the occassion was organised to mark the end of a peaceful end of the year 2015 and to celebrate the retiring officer who has put in 35 years in the service.
Mohammed said  the service is happy to have contributed in the peaceful conduct of the 2015 elections which brought in a new government.
“We in the Nigerian Prisons Service are happy that we have played a vital role towards ensuring peaceful conduct of the 2015 elections. It is my prayer that in 2016, we shall be able to consolidate on our achievements of the previous year and even achieve greater successes in the North East sub-region and the country at large”
He congratulated the retiring officer describing him as an uncommon officer with zeal, doggedness and resilience towards his work.
Responding, DCP Gwani thanked the command for recognising his contributions to the service.
He advise officers and men of the command to remain dedicated to duty and shun corruption.
