Army Repel Late Night Terrorist Attack On Buratai

Troops of the Nigerian army on Monday night repelled attack by terrorists on Burutai, the home town of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai.

This is contained in a statement by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Usman, in Abuja, on Tuesday.

According to the statement: “About 9.30 pm last night, suspected Boko Haram terrorists made futile attempts to attack Buratai town Borno state.

“The military camp located in the area was also attacked by the terrorists but soldiers in the camp rose to the occasion and dealt with the terrorists.”

Usman also said that the terrorists also made another effort about 3.00 am on Tuesday morning and was repelled by the soldiers.

He added that the situation in the town is calm and cool.
