APC Mourns Abubakar Audu

Arewa consultative Forum expressed shock and sadness  over the sudden death of Prince Abubakar Audu on Sunday 22/11/15 .

According to a statement by the National PRO of the Forum, Malam Mohammed Ibrahim said the late prince Abubakar who was a foundation member of ACF andalso the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the just inconclusive governorship election of Kogi state held on Saturday 21/11/15, was an accomplished banker, a dogged, colossus and flamboyant politician who was the first elected Executive Governor of Kogi state in January 1992 after its creation on 27th August 1991.

He was again re-elected in 1998 and sworn-in as the second Executive Governor of the state on 29th May, 1999 and ruled from May 1999 to May 2003.
Prince Audu  according to the statement would always be remembered by his legacies such as the Kogi State University, Kogi state Polytechnic and many other projects executed by him in his first and second tenures.
” Kogi people and indeed Nigerians would miss his elegance and flamboyant dressing and most importantly his political tenacity and determination to have participated in all governorship elections held in Kogi state from 1998-2015. ” the statement added.
>It said ACF mourns the demise of Prince Abubakar Audu and extends its condolences to his immediate family, the All Progress Congress (APC), the Government and people of Kogi state. May Allah (SWT) grant him Aljannah Firdaus and his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amin.
