Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta Central, Chief Tom Amioku, former Chairman of Okpe Local Government area, Chief Joseph Otirhue, and Secretary, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Chief Isaacs Itebu, have commended the people of Okpe for coming out en mass to vote PDP in the recent elections, especially for Chief Ighoyota Amori in the Delta Central re-run.

Speaking to newsmen in separate interviews, the trio described the just concluded re-run senatorial election won by the PDP candidate as a peaceful, free, fair and credible one.

They said it was interesting that the ruling party in the state cleared all the elections, adding that instead of going to court those who lost out should join hands with the PDP to move the state forward.

Amioku and Otirhue the people assured that the incoming Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s government in the state would perform well.

They felicitated with all the PDP candidates who won the elections and wished them a successful tenure in office.

On his part, Chief Isaacs Itebu commended the people for coming out in their numbers to vote PDP in the previous elections and Chief Amori in the just concluded Delta Central senatorial election.

He assured the people of the dividends of democracy, adding that he was optimistic that the incoming government of Okowa would perform well.
