Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has directed the state Ministry of Works to hasten up work on the fencing of the Nigerian Air Force Primary and Secondary School at Maikunkele, IN the outskirts of Minna, the state capital.

The Governor gave the directive when he visited the secondary school in Gusase town, Bosso Local Government Council area of the state, explaining that the facility visit was to ensure that work was completed before the May 29 handing over to the in-coming government.

Contrary to reports that the school was constructed by the state government for the Nigerian Air Force, Aliyu said his administration only contributed by fencing the school to ensure security of the pupils and as well, make it conducive for learning.

Aliyu, who also inspected some other projects in the Minna metropolis expressed his preparedness to ensure completion of all on-going projects, particularly those started by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government before handing over to in-coming APC government.

With the support of the state government in fencing the school, Aliyu said the school will serve the educational needs of both children of the Nigerian Air force personnel and those of the host communities when completed.
