The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has called on

Nigerians especially the people of Adamawa State to have confidence in the

Nigerian Police and other security operatives in the country for

effective security operations.

Arase made the appeal in Yola, the Adamawa State

Capital, on Friday, June 5, 2015, during a visit on Adamawa State Governor,

Thursday’s night bomb blast that claimed over 40 lives.

The inspector-general promised to beef up security operatives

in the state to avoid re-occurrence.

According to him, “My impromptu visit to the state is to sympathise

with the government, people of the state and the relations of those

who lost their loved ones as a result of the bomb blast near the Jimeta

modern market”.

He called on the people to report any strange

objects and unusual movement of people to the security agents for

necessary action.

Also, the Director General of the National Emergency

Management Agency (NEMA), Alhaji Snai Sidi, called on the people to

work with one another to stop the

suicide bombings that clam lives in the country.

Sidi, who led the Federal Government delegations to Adamawa

State, also delivered drugs worth about N2 million to the

survivors of the blast and appealed to individuals to donate blood to

the patients while in the hospitals.

The delegations however paid similar visit to the former Vice
