There were clear indications that those who doubted the actualisation of the efforts of executive council of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) on the tussle over the landed properties meant for Writers’ Village at Abuja must have missed in action.

ANA President, Mallam Denja Abdullahi gave this assurance through his facebook account that another court judgment has been delivered on Wednesday March 23, 2016 in an Abuja High Court in favour of ANA against a consortium of encroachers in the name of Eyrie Nigeria limited who took ANA land developer KMVL to court (and by extension ANA) over a purported third party agreement.

Meanwhile, Abdullahi said the Home Securities Ltd., the one ANA triumphed over in 2012 in a landmark judgment over the same land, surfaced curiously on the 9th of January, 2016, with an appeal notice pending at the court of appeal.

“An appeal four years after judgment has been executed and damages paid? Our lawyers are on it. We are forging ahead nonetheless to make the dream of the writers’ village come true this 2016 God Willing & Inshallah.”

One of the authors who responded through same medium, Nelson Fashina, prayed for the team.

“The Bible says ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness therefore; the world, and they that dwell therein.’ Therefore, the God of the universe who created the heavens and the earth shall fight the cause and win the case for us in Jesus Name. ANA shall win the court cases and repossess every foot of the land acres in Abuja Amen,’” he said.
