Abia: Economic Trip Abroad Successful, Says Ikpeazu

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has described his overseas economic mission as most successful following the attraction of  investments to the state.

Ikpeazu disclosed this to newsmen in Umuahia, Sunday, on arrival from his overseas trip, stating that during his

visit to a foremost cancer machine inventor in America has led to an agreement for a factory in Abia State.

Ikpeazu also disclosed that he established some economic partnership in various sectors, including education, trade and commerce, to move the state forward, as the state of Maryland in the United States would be collaborating with the state-owned Abia State University on equipment and facilities.

“We ensured that in the area of agriculture, that people are coming from Philadelphia, to start the greenhouse technology, which is the modern thing in agricultural practice.

“We also ensured that in health sector, our health facilities will be upgraded to international standard with the collaboration of some of the experts we spoke to,” he said.

According to him, in Istanbul, Turkey, some Abia indigenes are undergoing study on how to bring back shoe making machines and technologies.

Ikpeazu also pointed out that, in the coming weeks, his administration would unveil its plans for the next hundred days.
