Village heads of Ofeme community are counting their blessings in anticipation that Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship flag bearer in Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, will emerge victorious in Saturday’s election.
The group’s spokesman and the prime minister of Ofeme, High Chief Michael Ibebunjo, in a statement April 7, 2015, assured that Ikpeazu would continue his developmental projects in the community.
Ibebunjo argued that the PDP governorship candidate was not new to the community, stressing that the man had been identifying with the people of the area before declaring interest in politics.
His words: “We are overwhelmed with joy receiving the support and assistance from Dr. Ikpeazu for the restoration of electricity in the community.
On behalf of the village heads, we say  it is the first of its kind to be remembered by someone who is far away from Umuahia. We assure our total support on what the PDP governorship candidate is seeking for.”
