Aminu Abdulkadir, Nasarawa United attacking midfielder, has lavished praise on his side following their 3-1 win over Giwa FC in a rescheduled NPFL game.

A brace from Abdulrahman Bashir and one from Aminu saw off the Jos Elephants in what the former Kogi United midfielder described as a “very good” opponent.

“I’m more delighted with the performance of the team. Against a very good Giwa FC team, it was an exceptional performance,” Aminu told Goal.

“Looking at them, you could see they were all in good condition, and I think we were just looking forward to getting out there and playing again.

“We controlled the game and some of the chances we created were great. It could have been more, but I’m thrilled with a clean sheet too.”

When asked how he felt scoring his first goal of the season, he added, “I have always been patient since I joined this team and have the belief that I will take my chance when it comes.

“It’s nothing special, just like every other day like you saw during my stint at Kogi United. But I must confess I was so happy when the ball went in.”
