Following the kidnap of Colonel Samaila Inusa in Kaduna State at the weekend, the Nigerian Army has raised the reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the rescue of the officer.

The colonel was abducted in his Mercedes-Benz car by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, around Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Army had earlier offered N500,000 for information that could help save Inusa, but with time ticking and no clues about the officers whereabouts, authorities have promises more financial reward and protection to anyone who provides the required information, and the information would be treated “with utmost confidentiality.”

Colonel Abdul Usman, Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, disclosed in Kaduna on Sunday that, “the abductors dropped off Colonel Inusa’s wife and left with him in his car. The car headed towards Abuja.”
