Nigeria’s U-23 football team (Dream Team) was on Thursday, July 9, 2015 drawn to play Ghana, Egypt and Senegal in Group B in the latest All Africa Games (AAG) men’s football by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).

After the draw, the Dream Team coach, Samson Siasia, exclaimed: “Waow! This is a group of death.

“Why are we all thrown in the same group?

“This is a very difficult group. Every team in this group has the potential to win the All Africa Games.

“Well, we are ready but every game in this group would be difficult. And we would approach each one like a final. I can assure you that anyone who makes it out of this group is top favourite to win the gold.”

Nigeria, which won Gold at the 1973 AAG on home soil, beat Gabon and Zambia to qualify for the tournament proper in Congo-Brazzaville from September 4, 2015.

Hosts, Congo; Sudan, Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso have been drawn in a relatively easier Group A.
