Lagos – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have been asked to allow  Salisu Yusuf continue with the Super Eagles, at least for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on account of the time left for the commencement of the qualifying tournament.
Austin Eguaveon, former Super Eagles defender and coach, who made this callon Thursday, said that there was no more time to bring in a foreigner to the team.

Eguaveon said that qualification would be assured with Yusuf or any other indigenous coach in the saddle given that they have known the players very well.
“I have nothing against hiring a foreign coach for the team but my concern is the time,” he said.
“There is no time for us to start experimenting for the qualification, more so we are not even going to play in the Africa Cup of Nations next year. If I were to be the NFF people, I will allow Yusuf to continue and give him all the necessary support,” he said.
“We can talk about getting a foreign coach later, but for this World Cup qualification and based on time, it is, to me, unthinkable to talk of that.”
