Lagos – Mamelodi Sundowns players are beaming with high hopes ahead of Wednesday’s CAF Champions League clash against Nigerian champions, Enyimba.
The players, while expressing disappointment on ES Setiff’s disqualification from the competition, which erased the three points the team have earned so far, said they will impose themselves on their visitors on Wednesday.
Defender Thabo Nthethe, who has been a pillar of strength for Pitso Mosimane’s side, commented on his disappointment after having lost their three points already from the group stage.
“It’s disappointing but we have moved on from the news of Setif’s disqualification, now hoping that Enyimba will fall.”
Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat and others are incredibly optimistic ahead of the Enyimba clash and believe they can claim the spoils against the Nigerian giants.
“I’m looking forward to showcasing to Africa and the World that we are a world class team,’’ Dolly expressed.
Billiat added, “We are well motivated, and we are all buzzing with confidence ahead of our encounter with Enyimba.”
Goalkeeper, Wayne Sandliands, revealed what they need to do in the match, stating, “We need to impose ourselves on the game, it is our home game and we need to go out and dominate.”
Defender, Wayne Arendes, also noted that they were expecting a bruising battle with their opponents, but warned that they were ready for it.
“We are expecting a physical game and we are up for the challenge come Wednesday.”
