Okowa Charges Deltans to Be Dedicated To The Service Of God And Humanity 

Delta State Governor, Dr, Ifeanyi Okowa, has charged Deltans to be hardworking and dedicated to the service of God and Humanity.

The Governor gave the charge Friday during the funeral service of  Samuel Ofili at Saint Joseph’s Pro-Catholic Cathedral in Asaba.

Senator Okowa described the deceased as a man who provided for the poor, needy and less privileged in the society throughout his life.

Governor Okowa commended Late Ofili for his dedication to duty asserting “for him to become an Assistant General  manager at African Continental Bank as at 1967 and retired at the age of 50 years but continued to develop his community and people to attain greater heights in life, these virtues are worth emulating by all.”

He consoled the family and friends of the deceased and urged them to follow the legacies, their father and mentor left behind for the good of humanity.

In a sermon His Lordship Martins Uzukwu, Bishop Of the Diocese of Minna extolled the qualities of the late Samuel Ofili explaining that he put his potentials into the service of mankind and spent his wealth into helping people and improving their wellbeing.

” We have come to thank God for the good life papa lived, God used him to better the lives of all that came in contact with him in life especially the helpless. Papa has shown us the way to heaven and we have to follow his footstep in life and be our brother’s keeper.”

In a related development, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa accompanied by top government functionaries also attended the burial ceremony of Sir Augustine Nwaeze in lbusa.
