3 Men Docked Over Alleged Theft Of Volkswagen Spare Parts

The police in Ogun on Wednesday arraigned three men before an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing Volkswagen spare parts valued N280,000.The accused, Gasari Semiu, 30; Temitope Alabi,36; and Sikiru Alimu, 42; were arraigned on a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.
The Prosecutor, Sergeant Chudu Gbesi, told the court that the accused and others still at large committed the offences on February 24 at Mechanic Workshop, Tipper Gagage Area, Owode Ijoko, Ota.
Gbesi said that the accused persons conspired to steal a Volkswagen top cylinder belonging to Ismaila Akinbami.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Vol.1, Law of Ogun, 2006.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr S.O. Banwo, granted them bail in the sum of N150,000 each with two sureties in the like sum.
The case was adjourned the case till May 9 for hearing.
