Twenty-six track and field athletes will represent Nigeria at the 20th African Senior Athletics Championships, which start on Wednesday 22 June 2016 in Durban South Africa.
That last batch left the country Monday night while 15 came in from the USA and three from London.
Athletes were selected based on their performances in the Golden leagues and recent times posted.
Solomon Dalung, the Minister of Youth and Sports, had assured the Athletics Federation of Nigeria that it will do all within its powers to ensure that the athletes attend the African Championships despite paucity of funds.
The AFN will use the championships to get more qualifiers for the Rio Olympic Games and to assess the strength of the team.
Nigeria will take part in the sprints, relays, quarter-mile, discus, shot put, triple and long jumps.
The Championship runs from June 22 to 26, 2016.
